About EPT
The European Poker Tour, the EPT, dealt its first hand in 2004. With the spectacular interest of games like Texas Hold' em, the tour was an eminent success. After its first season, the EPT had already positioned itself as the premier host for major league European poker.
Today, the EPT is considered as one of the worlds most prestigious tours alongside the World Poker Tour. And with rising pots & prizes, the battle of the 2007 is looking particularly fierce.
The most significant difference between the competing poker tours is the level of the Buy-in which is considerably lower on the European Poker Tour, but as pots and prizes have risen, so has the prestige of the event. It now attracts the absolute cream of card players and this year's tour is likely to set an all-time high in EPT winnings.
