Chat Etiquette

Chat Rooms are a great place to make friends and to chat with others while playing bingo, as long as you remember chat room etiquette. There is a great sense of community among online bingo players, so to keep the atmosphere fun and friendly it is important to follow a few guidelines that are outlined below. Have a ball!

The chat etiquette

Out of consideration for our Chat Hosts and all our players, Gnuf Bingo asks that all its players abide by the following rules:

  • If you have questions for your Chat Host that are not answered immediately, please be patient and ask again when your Chat Host is ready.

  • Please have respect for your Chat Host's authority. Our Chat Host's love their jobs here at Gnuf Bingo, but it can be quite stressful at times, so please don't try to make their jobs more difficult.

  • Our Chat Host's are not police officers; they will help out with your problems to the best of their ability but are asked not to take sides in player arguments. We are all adults and we expect our players to resolve their differences in a mature manner. And no, not by name-calling!

  • To differentiate themselves from other players, our Chat Host's type in capital letters. To help them, please do not use CAPS.

  • Chat Host impersonation is considered to be a serious offence at Gnuf Bingo. If a player is found impersonating a Chat Host they can be banned from Gnuf Bingo.

Be courteous to your fellow Roomies

  • Please be courteous when choosing your nickname. Other roomies don't want to see nicknames that are offensive, sexual in nature or contain crude references to body parts, bodily functions, curse words, etc. Sure, they may seem funny to you, but there are people who take serious offence at that sort of thing!

  • We all love winning, and just like in real life, players often go on lucky streaks. Please do not make them feel bad for having good luck!

  • Please do not harass or bother other players at Gnuf Bingo. If you do not like another player, just ignore them. Harassment is a no-no, and can get you booted.

  • Remember that not all roomies are here to chat. If another player is not replying to you, they may just be very shy, on schedule buy or auto buy and away from their computers.

  • Improper discussion in chat may result in having your ability to chat suspended. Please voice your complaints to support@gnuf.com and NOT in the chat room.

  • NO harassment, slander, abuse or any other kind of mistreatment of other players.

  • NO soliciting or advertising for other bingo or casino sites.

  • NO "Cyber Sex" or other chat of an overtly sexual nature, including the use of sexual terms or connotations. (This is a PG site, folks!)

  • NO racism, racial slurs or otherwise offensive remarks. Gnuf Bingo players come from all races and walks of life. Let's embrace our differences.

  • Players are not allowed ask for donations of any sort from other players.
